“Wind, Open the Way” is my attempt to bring the spirit of traditional Korean songs into a modern sound. The song draws inspiration from the rhythmic expressions and imagery often associated with Korean folk music — words like eoh-heoya, hwal-hwal, and neoul-neoul, along with mountains, moonlight, wind, clouds, and the image of a wanderer following the road. Rather than recreating traditional Korean music exactly, I wanted to share its spirit — the joy, freedom, heung (흥), and sense of pungnyu (풍류) found in Korean culture. I hope that even listeners who don't understand Korean can feel a little of that Korean spirit through the music. This is a fan-made work inspired by KPop Demon Hunters.
