Marmalade Gretsch 6120/ Koedo Girls –60s Merseybeat & Girl Pop

DESCRIPTION

Back when I was playing in a band, I came across someone selling a beautiful orange Gretsch 6120 at a flea market. It was love at first sight! I asked the seller to hold it for me, scraped together every bit of money I could, and finally made it mine. I ended up using it with my band for quite a while. It wasn’t a vintage model or anything, but looking back, I think I got it for an unbelievably good price. You don’t hear too many songs that actually mention a Gretsch guitar, but there is one famous example in Japan: Sheena Ringo’s classic “Marunouchi Sadistic.” There’s that unforgettable line about Benji and a Gretsch. What a fantastic lyric! In Japan, Gretsch guitars have also been associated with some seriously edgy rock musicians, including Kenichi Asai (Benji) and Yusuke Chiba. But the character who appears in the lyrics of this song is actually inspired by a musician I have enormous respect for. I hope you’ll give it a listen! I got a beat in my shoes 理由なんて　いらないよ Don’t need no excuse ブライアンもご機嫌さ When I hit that sound We’re gonna tear it down Rock ’n’ roll, rock ’n’ roll この胸で burning in my soul Rock ’n’ roll, rock ’n’ roll 誰にも止められない Keep that rhythm Hard and fast Rock ’n’ roll Is built to last 午前0時　回っても I don’t care tonight ジョージのメロディー止まらない Everything feels right ハートが跳ねて　床を蹴る My feet hit the floor あの backbeat 聴かせてくれ I’m coming back for more Rock ’n’ roll, rock ’n’ roll この胸で burning in my soul Rock ’n’ roll, rock ’n’ roll 誰にも止められない Keep that rhythm Hard and fast Rock ’n’ roll Is built to last 気取った言葉は　いらない No sweet disguise こいきにギター　かき鳴らせ And fire in my eyes Rock ’n’ roll, rock ’n’ roll この胸で burning in my soul Rock ’n’ roll, rock ’n’ roll 今夜は止まれない Keep that rhythm Hard and fast Rock ’n’ roll Is built to last Rock ’n’ roll Marmalade Gretsch I like you Lyrics and Music　KoedoRetoro AIMusic
